ALMOST 6 WEEKS

Yes, this is really me. I'm finally able to concentrate enough to write this blog, and I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It is very difficult when you go on a trip to Mexico and the next thing you know, 6 weeks later, you're in Houston recovering from a heart attack.

I have been awake for a little over 2 weeks now, and today was the most difficult day I've had thus far. It was emotional because I'm so far away from home. I miss my animals, friends, and family. Robert and I are researching the possibility of a transplant in Denver because I'm so homesick.

Thank God for Robert. If it wasn't for him, I don't know how I could see myself through any of this. Not only does he show support for me personally, but as you all know, his support is helpful to all of my friends and family.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Tyler

  3. Hey Tyler,

Amazingly wonderful to see a post from you. We’ve been following Robert’s and can’t believe how he’s managed to post such detailed information for all of us with so much going on in his (and your) life. You’ve both been in our prayers and it’s wonderful to see such progress in your recovery. We’ll continue to follow this saga and certainly continue our prayers.

  5. Tyler,
Ahh, so good to see your writing. As the others have said, Robert has been so great about keeping us informed - not just of the physical details of your recovery - but also of all of the mixed emotions going through this. Many blessings to you both. I know you will get this heart... and be back designing again. You and Tyler have such courage and resiliency. Hang in there, both of you. I send many prayers for you both every day. Betsy (Fox Vance)

  7. Hi Tyler,

You don't know me. I'm a work colleague of Robert's. He's done some amazing work for our little library non-profit and I really enjoy working with him. Everyone at CLiC was sorry to hear about your health and we're keeping you and Robert in our thoughts and prayers. I follow your blog a couple times a week and talk to Melissa Stockton. I can't imagine how life changed for both of you in a heartbeat. Know that people you don't even know care about you and are pulling for you to make a remarkable recovery and come home soon! You have a new job now, to get better. Take care, Lisa Priebe
